Cardiff Metropolitan University is proud to be the birth place of this special partnership, which is an outcome of Cardiff Met's Internationalisation and capacity building initiatives in the MENA region during the last 4 years.

Cardiff Met is leading two Tempus projects, in partnership with the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education, UK, the Association of Arab Universities and the Ministries of Higher Education in Lebanon, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia and Morocco, to develop a framework for building capacity for Leadership in Higher Education. The signing of this MoU marks a commitment to further work together on the design, promotion, delivery and evaluation of Leadership programmes across the Arab region.

Cardiff Met has established a strong network of overseas partners who work with the University on various levels of collaboration and this signing was witnessed by several consuls and governing bodies from the countries in which Cardiff Met's partners are based.

Professor Mohamed Loutfi, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) at Cardiff Met commented: "Cardiff Met has developed an international Higher Education network of friends. We are proud to facilitate the signing today and to see so many friends from our partner universities and organisations join in the celebration".

Cardiff Met is building a stellar reputation for launching groundbreaking initiatives with the success of the Tempus Leadership in Higher Education Management project, and the Erasmus Mundus Programme, which facilitates student and staff exchange between Europe and beyond.
